ROLO Operatives (British Association of Landscape Industries Register of Land-based Operatives)
ROLO (Register of Land-based Operatives) was developed by BALI to raise the standards of health and safety and reduce risks and accidents throughout the industry. This course is designed for beginners in the land based sector to learn new skills. Walk away from this course with newfound knowledge that will help you progress on your role.

This is a face to face course with a a written assessment (multiple choice) assessment at the end.
ROLO is a prerequisite for anyone applying for a LISS/CSCS SmartCard. Certificates are valid for five years, but applicants must ensure the course has been completed within the last two years when applying for a LISS/CSCS SmartCard. Before the five years runs out, the relevant refresher course can be completed.

This course is assessed through an end of unit multiple choice paper and group work. If you feel that you have a disability that may inhibit your access to this course, either with the training or assessment, please let us know by calling or emailing the office on 03330 151152 or info@vmtltd.net.
This is an online, unstructor led and interactive course. For those who do not already have a ROLO-online account:
- On receiving these joining instructions, candidates should register on www.rolo-online.org.uk.Please note that there have been some issues with gmail accounts. If there is a delay of more than 24 hours in receiving your confirmation email, please contact us directly.
- You will receive a confirmation/validation email through to your email account. Please follow the link to verify your registration.
- If there are any issues with gmail please contact info@vmtltd.net immediately for further instructions.
- Once registered, please email info@vmtltd.net to confirm that you have registered.
- We will then email you to confirm that you have successfully registered for the course. You can then access the online e-learning element.
All candidates must have completed this prior to the course starting to access the teaching material and the assessment.
We offer the option to come to the VMT Training Centre in Islip for those who would prefer to have face to face support through the course. Please let us know if you would prefer to come to the centre.
