Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm Refresher
Description
Our course offers a balanced mix of theory and practical sessions.
The first module covers safety, health, and welfare and is mandatory. It must be completed before the other modules.
We will, however, accept equivalent health and safety certification if it has been completed within five years of this refresher course.
Examples of equivalent certification include:
IOSH (Managing Safely)
NEBOSH Certificate
Lantra Awards Health & Safety and Practical Risk Assessment
Construction Skills Health and Safety equivalent to 5 days training
BSC level 3 Occupational Safety or above
Level 3 Award in Controlling Risks to Health & Safety in Agriculture and Production Horticulture (QCF).
Worth noting: You will need a minimum level of fitness to complete this course.
Please note that this is a refresher course and as such proof of initial qualification will be required.

Course Specific Notes
You will need to bring:
- A form of photo ID either valid driving licence or passport.
- Non snag clothing suitable for all weather as you will be outside.
- Arborist helmet complete with full mesh face shield and visor and suitable ear defenders.
- Chainsaw trousers with a minimum of Class 1 protection and a minimum of Type C coverage.
- Chainsaw gloves with a minimum of Class 0 protection.
- Chainsaw Boots with suitable protection levels.
- Personal First Aid Kit.
- Whistle.
We recommend bringing your own Chainsaw, Maintenance Kits and equipment if you have any.
Important Information:
For all Refresher courses you will need to provide a copy of the original qualification certificate before you can take part on the day.

Pre requisites will be listed under individual course requirements and it is the responsibility of the booker to check that all attendees have the necessary qualifications.
Joining instructions will be sent around 7-14 days before the course starts and will contain full details of location, equipptment etc. Please note that lunch is not provided.
