During this course, you will cover: Carrying out correctly all routine maintenance in accordance with the machine manufacturer’s instruction book. Detecting defects on the equipment and decide which the operator can remedy, and which require a service engineer’s attention. Starting the strimmer/brush cutter and leafblower from both hot and cold start in a safe manner. Carrying out pre-checks. Operating the equipment with regard for the safety of the public, property, and environmental factors. And much more. After successfully completing this course you will receive 2 Lantra certificates of competence.   PPE Requirements: · A form of photo ID either valid driving licence or passport. .        Brushcutter/Strimmer trousers or strong work trousers. · Safety helmet conforming to EN 12492 · Ear Defenders – Complying with EN352 · Eye Protection – Mesh visor complying with EN1731. · Steel Toe Cap Boots with ankle support and good grips or Chainsaw Boots. · Non snag clothing suitable for all weather as you will be outside. · Work Gloves Shorts are not allowed to be worn during training.
