ROLO Manager Course
Description
ROLO (Register of Land-based Operations) is recognised by Build UK as one of the leading Health, Safety and Environmental Awareness Courses in the UK, designed exclusively for the Land-based industries by landscaping professionals.
ROLO was developed and is owned by the British Association of Landscape Industries to raise the standard of health and safety, environmental awareness, and reduce the risk of accidents in the workplace. It also encourages employers to keep a record of workers in the Land-based sector who have achieved a recognised level of competence.
This is a blended learning course with around 0.5-1 day of prelearning to be completed at your convenience prior to the course start and 3 days of face to face learning with our experienced instructor. In order to access the prelearning it is recommended that you have access to a computer or tablet.

Course Specific Notes
ROLO is a prerequisite for anyone applying for a LISS/CSCS SmartCard. Certificates are valid for five years, but applicants must ensure the course has been completed within the last two years when applying for a LISS/CSCS SmartCard. Before the five years runs out, the relevant refresher course can be completed.

Equipment & PPE Requirements:
You will need to bring:
- A form of photo ID either valid driving licence or passport.
- A selection of your PPE for the PPE exercise
- A laptop or tablet (laptop preferable)
Important Information:
- Assessment for this qualification will be a mix of online assessment, oral contribution and group work. Should you have any concerns about your ability to access this learning and assessment please contact the office to discuss any reasonable adjustments that may be available for you.
- Equipment required and information related your course will be sent to the booker by email 14 days before the course is to begin or as soon as possible if within 7 days.
- Your email will contain directions to the course site and the equipment that may be required. Lunch is not provided.
- Your booking confirmation email only serves to confirm your booking and payment and the date and timings of your course.
